Mt San Antonio (Spring 2023)

Mt. San Antonio SacMedia

Mt. San Antonio’s SacMedia posted 183 stories this spring, fifth most in the state. Its 8.0 weekly average over a state-leading 23 weeks ranked 11th.

SacMedia was one of a small handful of publications with more stories this semester than the pandemic semester of Spring 2020, though it still trailed the output of the remote semester of Spring 2021.

Three in 10 stories (30.1 percent) were community based, third highest in the state. Many of those community stories were city council stories of surrounding communities. SacMedia’s distribution of story types is one of the most rounded in the state: News leads with 37.2 percent, followed by feature stories (29.0 percent), sports (20.8 percent), and then opinion (13.1 percent). However, there were no campus opinion stories.

SacMedia posted frequently: 84 days over the 23 weeks for second most. It posted 52.2 percent of possible days (seventh highest).  Fridays were the most likely day for posts (26.8 percent) and most stories were posted in the afternoon (46.4 percent).

The site drew 21.k visitors per month.
