The Fresno RamPage produced just 44 stories this spring, one of its lowest outputs since this study began.

While 43.2 percent of stories were news stories, the rest of the stories were largely opinion and feature (25.0 percent each). The publication was fourth overall in percentage of opinion stories, but most were non-campus related. There were just three campus sports stories and one campus governance story. 

That is not to say that the publication failed to cover its campus. One of its most intriguing stories was “Lack of ASL Interpreter Causes Challenges for FCC Faculty Who Are Deaf.”

Monday and Wednesday were the most popular posting days (19.5 percent each) and nearly three-fourths (72.7 percent) were posted in the afternoon. 

The publication drew 27.2k visitors each month, 11th most in the state.

Fall 2024 By Rich Cameron Built on the backbone of election coverage, 53 California community college publications saw a healthy 8.3 percent increase of story posts for Fall 2024 over the same period last year. The 53 publications posted 4,175 stories from Aug. 1 through Dec. 31. The semester got off to a slow start, but picked up by late October as election stories led the way. (Election stories accounted for nearly 10 percent of all stories for the semester.) It appears that 15 publications (28.3 percent) saw downturns of 10 percent or more for the semester, but 27 of the remaining publications saw healthy increase to raise the state total. One print publication still does not have a publication website. Another without a website last fall (Southwestern) got one, but barely used it. East LA started the semester with a site sideline by malware, but got back on track by October.
