The Cypress Chronicle published 42 stories over 15 weeks for a 2.8 story per week average, which showed a significant increase from the Fall 2022 semester and a move back closer to its normal output levels.
While 81.0 percent of its stories were campus focused, one of the publication’s noteworthy stories covered issues in local schools: “LAUSD strike affects OC education on students.”
It leaned heavily on feature stories (33.3 percent), which ranked it 11th in the state.
Nearly a third of its stories (31.0 percent) were posted on Mondays and stories were posted in the evenings (52.4 percent) and afternoons (42.9 percent). It posted 23.8 percent of possible days, or about 1.5 days per week.
Website traffic was unmeasurable for much of the semester, but the last two months averaged to 4.3k visitors each month.
